Culinary Apprentice

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Commis Chef. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a commercial kitchen and develop your culinary skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Training under a Chef to gain your culinary qualification
- Performing day-to-day tasks of a Chef and learning on the job
- Working well as part of a team of chefs, supporting one another and communicating effectively
- Learning how to follow recipe cards to prepare, cook and serve a range of meals
- Completing daily paperwork to cover due diligence
- Assisting with deliveries and stock checks
- Placing food orders and maintaining kitchen records
- Sharing responsibility with the Chef manager/Catering manager for the checking, probing and signing of all food deliveries
- Monitoring and recording temperatures of fridges, freezers, hot cabinets and serveries
- Assisting in daily and weekly kitchen deep cleans
Requirements:
- No experience necessary, just a willingness to learn and a passion for cooking
- Excellent team player and communicator
- Committed to the apprenticeship
- DBS required
- Flexibility and the ability to innovate
