About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Equipment Specialist to join our team at Carbon 60. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the installation, service, and refurbishment of mechanical equipment associated with penstocks, valves, and actuators.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure works are delivered safely and efficiently.
  • Install, service, repair, and commission flow control and associated equipment.
  • Carry out minor civils works associated with flow control equipment.
  • Fault finding and diagnosis.
  • Follow engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Gather details, measurements, and full descriptions of any components that require replacement.
  • Work in an outdoor environment in different weather conditions.
  • Interact with customers in a professional manner.
  • Maintain records of site activities.

About You:
  • Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in the water/wastewater industry.
  • Ability to understand and work to engineering drawings.
  • IT literate.
  • Physically fit.
  • Experienced in confined space working.
  • Willingness to occasionally travel across the UK and have overnight stays.
  • Full driving licence.

Working Hours:
39 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 8 hours per day, Friday 7 hours per day.
