About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic team member to join our fast-paced and friendly catering department at Dewsbury Hospital. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing a safe, hygienic, and nutritious food service for patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve food to patients and staff in a clean and safe environment.
  • Work as part of a team to ensure the smooth running of the food preparation and serving areas.
  • Ensure that food hygiene legislation and the Trust Food Safety Policy (HACCP) are observed at all times.
  • Participate in the general cleaning of the catering department and ensure that personal appearance, conduct, and customer care are of the highest standard.

Requirements

  • Awareness of all regulatory catering hygiene requirements.
  • Previous experience within catering.
  • Level Two Food Hygiene certificate (IEHO Basic Food Hygiene Certificate).

What We Offer

This is a permanent part-time position, working Monday to Friday with shifts between 8am and 4pm, 16 hours per week. Pay is pro-rata for part-time positions.
