SEND Teaching Assistant with Named Individual Pupils Job Summary

Our experienced Head teacher and her supportive senior leadership team are seeking an experienced, aspirational, and energetic SEND teaching assistant to work with named individual pupils. This position is term-time only, 39 weeks per year, and will be fixed-term until 31st August 2025. Weekly hours are 30 hours, with start and finish times ranging from, part-time hours can be considered and would be discussed with the successful candidate. There are two roles available, with one ideally requiring nurture training or experience in nurture.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Being a good or outstanding classroom TA practitioner.
  • Continuous improvement of teaching and learning under the supervision of the Class teacher and SENDCo.
  • Maintaining and raising standards under the supervision of the Class teacher, SENDCo, and SLT.
  • Tracking performance of specified SEND children.
  • Leading by example to motivate and work with others.
