Role Overview: This is a remote opportunity suitable for candidates based in the UK or Europe. M-TECH EUROPE LIMITED is a prominent provider of software solutions tailored for telecommunications and critical national infrastructure sectors.
We are seeking a seasoned Cybersecurity professional specializing in Threat Research & Detection to collaborate with our top-tier R&D team and enhance our threat research and detection capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the establishment and automation of a cybersecurity laboratory dedicated to the analysis, experimentation, and training concerning malware and tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
- Contribute to the advancement of machine learning initiatives aimed at identifying threats and anomalies within network traffic.
- Assist in the design and development of innovative cybersecurity products and features.
- Provide education, training, and mentorship to R&D team members on critical cybersecurity subjects.
- Conduct experiments and prototypes to evaluate the viability of solutions for complex engineering challenges.
- Influence product strategy and direction.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Expertise in developing high-quality detection signatures through the analysis of malicious activities is crucial. Experience in creating Suricata rules is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with systems such as Intrusion Detection and Prevention Systems (IDPS), Network Detection and Response (NDR), Extended Detection and Response (XDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), or Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR).
- Exceptional communication skills.
