Job Opportunity: Care Assistant in Gosport

Jane Lewis Healthcare Recruitment is seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to fill the role of Care Assistant in Gosport.

About the Role

We are looking for a caring and empathetic person to support a lady with Quadriplegic Athetoid Cerebral Palsy in her own home. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily assistance with personal care, meal preparation, and medication management, while promoting independence and a sense of well-being among service users.

This is a live-in position, requiring the candidate to reside with the service user in their home. A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential, as occasional transportation may be required.

Requirements
  • Be over 18 years old and have the right to work in the UK
  • Have prior experience in a healthcare setting (at least 6 months)
  • Excellent communication skills and basic knowledge of the healthcare sector
  • Ability to build strong relationships with service users who have varying needs and abilities
  • Genuine passion for working in the healthcare sector
  • Experience or willingness to be trained on bowel management and spinal conditions
