About the Role

A highly respected consultancy with work on a range of interesting and complex projects across various sectors is seeking a Senior Electrical Design Engineer within Building Services to join their team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring a thorough understanding of project briefs and specifications.
Designing and specifying all Electrical Building Services systems, including power, earthing, lighting, life safety, telecoms, security, access control, lifts, and lightning protection.
Producing detailed calculations using industry-standard software tools, such as Excel, Dialux, Amtech, and in-house developed tools.
Representing the organization at meetings with clients and contractors, ensuring effective communication and project coordination.
Conducting site surveys, inspections, and monitoring of site works to ensure compliance with project requirements.
Preparing and submitting reports and technical notes to stakeholders.

Requirements

Hold a degree in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Have at least 5 years of experience in electrical design engineering on Building Services projects.
Possess strong knowledge of electrical systems and building codes.
Experience working in a design consultancy and/or contractor design environment is essential.
