About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join our team at a highly regarded SEN school. The role offers flexibility, with both full-time and part-time options available.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lessons across the Primary curriculum, adapted to meet the unique needs of students with Autism and SEMH.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere, where all students feel supported and valued.
  • Monitor, assess, and report on student progress, ensuring individual education plans (IEPs) are effectively implemented.
  • Work collaboratively with SEN specialists, teaching assistants, and other staff to support student development.
  • Employ a variety of teaching strategies to address the diverse needs of students and manage classroom behavior in a constructive manner.
Requirements
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching within Primary, ideally within an SEN or alternative provision setting.
  • A thorough understanding of Autism and Challenging behaviour and their impact on learning.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students.
  • A commitment to inclusive education and a passion for working with children with special educational needs.
