Premier Group Recruitment is seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join our client's team in Salisbury. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing new products, working on full lifecycle design projects, and collaborating with manufacturing providers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop new products using CAD software
  • Work on full lifecycle design projects, from concept to completion
  • Liaise with manufacturing providers to ensure efficient production
  • Be involved in final assembly of products and create required documentation
  • Update 3D models and drawings, and input parts into the MRP system
  • Check drawings for sign off and work in a small multi-disciplinary team on varied projects

Requirements:

  • 2 years or more of experience in a similar Design / Mechanical Engineering position
  • Excellent proficiency with CAD software – ideally SolidWorks
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, fluid handling, hydraulics, piping, instrumentation, structural steel or similar industries would be beneficial
  • Degree / HNC / HND / BTEC / NVQ qualified in Mechanical Engineering or similar
  • Proven ability to drive Engineering development
  • Good mathematical and general engineering knowledge
  • The ability to understand system requirements
  • Be self-motivated with excellent attention to detail
  • Have excellent communication skills both verbal and written
