Job Description

Red Bull Powertrains is seeking a skilled Assembly Technician to join our expanding Power Unit engineering team. Our dynamic environment fosters collaboration and innovation, and we are looking for a talented individual to support the operation of ICE Assembly Group.

Based at our Milton Keynes campus, you will be responsible for supporting the assembly, servicing, and maintenance of powertrain components, including oil pumps, fuel systems, water pumps, Turbocharger, and MGU-K. This will involve working closely with the Engine Build Team Leaders and Trackside Chief Mechanic to ensure the successful operation of our power units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and maintain powertrain components, including ICE, Turbocharger, MGU-K, and ERS.
  • Prepare power units for dyno and trackside operations, ensuring all systems are functioning correctly.
  • Support race, test, and show car events as required, preparing power units for chassis installation and conducting critical systems checks and fire-ups.
  • Liaise with Power Unit Engineers and Programme Managers to ensure correct operation of hardware and resolve any technical issues that may arise.
  • Communicate assembly-related quality issues to key stakeholders, ensuring faults and non-conformities are recorded and addressed promptly.

Requirements:

  • High level of technical understanding and mechanical assembly competence.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and follow technical build processes and procedures.
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel to enable operation of internal business systems.
