We are seeking a dedicated and passionate KS2 Class Teacher to join our team. As a KS2 Class Teacher, you will be responsible for teaching and learning, as well as your own professional development. You will work in state-of-the-art facilities alongside industry-renowned educators and leaders in some of the world's most desirable locations.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Ensuring effective teaching of whole classes, groups and individuals so that teaching objectives are met, momentum and challenge are maintained, and best use is made of teaching time.
  • Planning lessons and sequences of lessons to meet pupils' individual learning needs and plan effectively to ensure that pupils have the opportunity to meet their potential, taking account of the needs of pupils who are underachieving or very able.
  • Securing a high standard of pupil behaviour in the classroom, through establishing appropriate rules and high expectations of discipline which pupils respect and use a range of appropriate strategies for teaching and classroom management.
  • Participating in the school's Performance Management program.
  • Identifying pupils who have special educational needs, and knowing where to get help in order to give positive and targeted support. Planning effectively, where applicable, to meet the needs of those pupils with special educational needs and preparing, implementing, monitoring and reviewing individual education plans.
  • Designing and adapting long, medium and short term plans for all schemes of work taught.
  • Marking and monitoring pupils' class and homework providing constructive oral and written feedback, setting targets for future progress.
  • Setting clear targets for improvement of pupils' achievement and monitoring pupils' progress towards those targets.
  • Administering and marking regular summative assessments as agreed by school policy.
  • Supervising pupils during playtime, lunchtime and for at least one school club.
  • Understanding their professional responsibilities in relation to school policies and practices.
  • Setting a good example to the pupils through presentation and personal conduct.
  • Evaluating teaching critically and using this to improve effectiveness.
  • Directing and line managing Teaching Assistants & support staff when needed.
