About the Role

This senior accounting position involves overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, including monthly closings and financial reporting using Yardi Voyager, Excel/SQL, and Oracle NetSuite, with a focus on marine operations.

You will collaborate with our CFO and senior leadership on data analysis for profitability, budget preparation, financial statements, and forecasting, ensuring compliance with internal controls and financial policies.

As a key liaison with external auditors, tax accountants, and insurance agencies, you will continuously seek process improvements and electronic efficiencies in accounting.

Responsibilities
  1. Accounting Operations: Oversee day-to-day accounting activities, including month-end closings and financial reporting.
  2. Data Analysis: Collaborate with senior leadership on data analysis for profitability, budget preparation, financial statements, and forecasting.
  3. Compliance and Improvement: Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies, while identifying opportunities for process improvements and electronic efficiencies.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 4 years of experience in corporate or public accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel/SQL, project accounting, and revenue recognition rules.

We welcome applicants with experience using Yardi Voyager or Oracle NetSuite accounting systems, as well as those with a background in commercial real estate accounting.
