As a Junior Electro Mechanical Engineer at Scot Lewis Associates, you will play a crucial role in developing and validating testing procedures for electronic systems. Your primary objective will be to ensure that our devices meet top quality, safety, and performance standards before they reach the market.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Customer Success and Engineering teams to provide technical support for customer installations, documentation, and new procedures.
- Troubleshoot technical issues to guarantee that CR products perform as expected.
- Define test requirements with design and development teams based on product specifications.
- Procure and set up test equipment and environments.
- Develop and implement automated testing plans.
- Conduct reliability and durability tests, including stress and environmental tests.
- Perform Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to assess potential failures and their impacts.
- Test embedded firmware and software, including regression tests.
- Document test plans and results, and present comprehensive reports.
- Log and track defects using issue tracking tools.
- Design mechanical components using CAD software.
- Prepare technical documentation.
Key Skills and Experience:
- Proficiency in Jira and MS Office.
- Knowledge of circuit design, electronic components, and microcontrollers.
- Familiarity with materials science and mechanical design using CAD SolidWorks.
- Basic signal processing and data analysis skills.
- Python experience (NumPy, Pandas, Matplotlib, Scikit-Learn).
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant engineering field.
