The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Officer to join our team. As a key member of our Income Management Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our financial systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities:- Liaise with local authorities to verify benefits entitlements
- Maintain and update housing benefits awards, impacting residents' rent
- Take proactive measures to prevent arrears and recover debts owed to the Trust
- Establish and maintain residents' records
- Collect outstanding arrears and provide advice on rent arrears
- Liaise with residents, applicants, and their representatives on income management matters
- Develop sustainable repayment plans to maximize income and recover debt
- Perform other tasks to support the Income Management Team's service levels and KPIs
- Experience in account reconciliation or a similar environment
- AAT qualification or double-entry bookkeeping experience
- Excellent numeracy, literacy, IT, and communication skills
- Knowledge of MS Excel and the MS Office Suite
- Attention to detail, friendly, team player, motivated, well-organized, and able to work under pressure
