Job Description:

The successful candidate will be working on precision welding on components and control systems used in the subsea industry. The work involves using specialized orbital welding equipment to achieve welds to strict industry standards.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Pre-Welding Tasks: Prepare and set up welding equipment, including orbital welding machines, power supplies, and gas systems.
  • Material Handling: Ensure all necessary materials, such as pipes or tubes, are clean, properly aligned, and ready for welding.
  • Machine Calibration: Program and calibrate orbital welding machines based on specific project requirements.
  • Welding Parameter Adjustment: Adjust welding parameters, such as current, voltage, and rotation speed, to achieve the desired weld characteristics.
  • Welding Operations: Operate orbital welding equipment to perform high-precision welds on a variety of materials, including stainless steel and exotic alloys.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Certifications: Certifications in orbital welding or relevant welding processes may be required.
  • Experience: Experience as an orbital welder or similar role, with a strong emphasis on the use of AMI welding equipment and autogenous and wire feed welding processes.
