Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Team Leader to join our management team at Grandir UK. As a Team Leader, you will play a key role in promoting high standards of quality within our nursery and supporting the development of our staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and maintain high standards of quality within the nursery, ensuring that our children receive the best possible care and education.
  • Support and supervise playroom staff, providing guidance and training to help them develop their skills and confidence.
  • Identify and address the individual training needs of staff, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality care and education.
  • Deploy staff effectively to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms.
  • Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety, and cleanliness, ensuring that our nursery is a safe and healthy environment for children and staff.
  • Ensure the effective implementation of our nursery's keycarer procedures, allocating children to keycarers appropriately.
  • Ensure that our practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
  • Ensure that planning meetings take place regularly, and that all staff are involved in the planning process.
  • Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child's progress and development.
  • Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers, showcasing the high-quality care and education that we provide.
  • Develop open and positive working relationships with staff, ensuring that they feel valued and supported in their roles.
  • Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 or above qualification in Early Years.
  • Experience of working in a nursery or childcare setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
