Job Summary:
The London School Alliance is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team in a primary school setting. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) to achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized support and assistance to SEN students in the classroom
- Implement and monitor individualized education plans for students with SEN
- Assist in creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic growth
- Collaborate with teachers and other staff members to ensure the needs of SEN students are met
- Utilize effective communication strategies to engage with students and support their learning
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills in supporting SEN students
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with students with SEN, particularly those with Autism
- Knowledge of PECS or Phonics is highly advantageous
- Ability to work 1:1 or in small groups with children, demonstrating a passion for supporting their educational development
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
