About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Consultant Gastroenterologist/Endoscopist to join our clinical teams around the UK. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work in well-equipped suites, providing out-patient support for clinics and undertaking endoscopy sessions.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for providing high-quality diagnostic and therapeutic services for patients with gastrointestinal disorders. This will involve performing endoscopies, colonoscopies, and other diagnostic procedures, as well as providing clinical training and support to junior staff.

Requirements

  • A UK registerable Medical Degree
  • GMC registration with a license to practice
  • Entry on to the specialist register for Gastroenterology or General Surgery
  • JAG Accreditation

Experience

You will need to demonstrate an exceptional level of skill in the following areas:

  • Diagnostic Colonoscopy
  • Diagnostic Gastroscopy
  • Diagnostic Flexible Sigmoidoscopy
  • Ability to undertake clinical audit of work and apply findings to clinical work
  • Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required to gaining UK CCST
  • Ability to offer expert clinical opinion on a range of issues in elective gastroenterology, drawing on substantive experience in the speciality
  • Ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care of patients
