Unlocking the Past: A History Teacher Role

We are seeking a passionate History Teacher to join our team in Walton-on-Thames. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator to nurture a love of history and help students connect the past with the present.

About the Position:

  • Deliver engaging and dynamic history lessons to Key Stages 3, 4, and potentially Key Stage 5
  • Plan and implement a creative curriculum that fosters curiosity and critical thinking
  • Develop students' historical knowledge, analytical skills, and understanding of diverse perspectives
  • Support students in preparing for assessments, GCSEs, and exams
  • Participate in extracurricular activities and field trips to enrich students' learning experiences outside the classroom

Key Requirements:

  • Hold a UK-recognized teaching qualification (PGCE/QTS) in History or a related field
  • Have a strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and assessment standards
  • Be committed to promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Demonstrate excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills
  • Show enthusiasm for creating memorable learning experiences and motivating students
