Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Sous Chef to join our culinary team. As a key member of our kitchen brigade, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head Chef in the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Head Chef in the management of the kitchen, including cost control, staffing, sales analysis, and forecasting.
- Ensure food quality and presentation meet the highest standards, monitoring and managing guest experiences to make improvements as needed.
- Recruit, train, and develop a team of chefs and kitchen porters, focusing on team productivity, performance, and presentation.
- Maintain company standards in cooking, cleaning, and overall kitchen operations.
- Represent the company with impeccable standards, ensuring the kitchen team always looks professional.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sous Chef in a luxury restaurant or hotel for at least two years.
- Confident leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Excellent time management and self-motivation skills.
- Strong business acumen and attention to detail.
- Microsoft Office and good technical skills.
- Passion for food, beverage, and luxury hospitality.
- Knowledge and experience in food preservation, particularly in Asian techniques.
- Creativity in researching and developing new food products using the estate's offerings.
- Ability to assist with growing plans for upcoming seasons and knowledge of foraged products.
