Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Advisor to join our team at Medicareplus International Ltd. The successful candidate will provide best-in-class clinical training to our NHS partners, enabling them to deliver exceptional patient care. This role requires strong clinical expertise in wound care, with a focus on identifying and managing complex wounds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver clinical education programs to support new formulary inclusions and account development.
  • Provide clinical training and guidance to nursing staff, carers, and other healthcare professionals on wound care best practices.
  • Conduct audits and support product evaluations with customers to identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Business Development Manager and Territory Manager to achieve commercial success.

Clinical Expertise

  • Wound Assessment - Proficient in identifying wound types, including acute, chronic, surgical, pressure injuries, and moisture-associated skin damage.
  • Treatment and Management - Knowledge of evidence-based wound management techniques, including MASD - Moisture Associated Skin Damage.
  • Infection Control - Familiar with aseptic techniques, infection prevention strategies, and managing wounds in complex care settings.

Education and Training

  • Patient-Centred Care - Strong ability to communicate with clinicians regarding the treatment of MASD.
  • Registered Nurse - Current registration with the relevant nursing authority.

Advisory Skills

  • Training and Guidance - Provide education, training, and support to nursing staff, carers, and other healthcare professionals on MASD best practices.

Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Effective Communication - Able to clearly convey complex wound care information to healthcare colleagues.

Professionalism and Ethics

  • Commitment to Continuous Learning - Engaged in ongoing professional development to stay current in wound care / MASD advancements.
