Your New Role

As a Proposal Specialist, you will play a vital role within the Business Development and Proposal team, contributing to multiple proposals across various sectors while maintaining excellent communication both verbally and in writing. You will serve as a key point of contact internally, coordinating with multiple departments to manage and facilitate internal responses for PQQs, proposals, presentations, case studies, and other business development support materials. Additionally, you will be responsible for reviewing and proofreading the work of others.

Principal Responsibilities:

Gaining a comprehensive understanding of proposal requirements and briefing colleagues. Coordinating the proposal schedule and ensuring contributors meet internal deadlines. Writing and preparing proposals and pre-qualification documents using approved templates. Coordinating technical and administrative aspects of proposal preparation. Writing and editing standard response sections and questionnaires. Collecting, reviewing, and managing technical input from subject matter experts. Formatting and proofreading final proposal documents. Ensuring win themes are effectively communicated in the proposal documents. Managing online portals. Updating the CRM database. Assisting in the preparation of reports on proposal activities. General administration as required. Monitoring contract execution performance and providing feedback on lessons learned to enhance proposal production and risk assessment processes. Contributing to the continuous improvement of templates, standard materials, and marketing information. Supporting the development and maintenance of marketing and business development activities as needed.

​ About You

Qualifications/ Skills/ Experience:

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Business Studies, or a related field. Proven experience in producing successful proposals, preferably within a construction or industrial context. Understanding of public and utilities procurement regulations and practices is essential. Experience in the UK utilities (power and water) markets would be advantageous. Excellent organizational skills. Strong literacy and grammatical abilities. High level of computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines with multiple projects running concurrently. Proactive nature, capable of working independently. Creative flair with the ability to produce professional and visually appealing documents. Enthusiasm, a strong team ethic, and a willingness to assist team members as needed. Ability to build strong, influential relationships within the organization at all levels.
