Rotor Winding Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Rotor Winding Engineer to join our team at Technique Recruitment Solutions Limited. The successful candidate will have previous experience in winding rotors and stators.

About the Role

This is a technical role that involves winding rotors, stators, armatures, and exciters. The successful candidate will also be responsible for installing, connecting, and testing these components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Winding of Rotors; including installation, connection, and testing of both AC and DC rotating equipment.
  • Producing pre-form and concentrated coils for rotor applications.
  • Preparing major components prior to winding.
  • Operating capital equipment and tools.
  • Conducting local repair works on service contracts.
Qualifications & Education:

NVQ Level 3 or Equivalent in Electrical/Mechatronics Engineering. Understanding of Rotating Electrical Machines.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have either time served or experienced in winding the following:
- Rotor winding of 3-phase stator windings.
- Coil installation and connecting of 2-pole rotors.
- Winding of Exciters, Armatures and DC rotors.

Skills:

Good hand fitting skills/techniques. Taping and banding skills. Good understanding of electrical and mechanical drawings. Excellent Communication. Good attention to details. Ability to work both independently and in small groups. Excellent problem-solving skills.
