About the Role

Hargreaves Lansdown is seeking a Senior Client Infrastructure Engineer to join our Cloud Infrastructure team in Bristol. As a key member of our team, you will play a significant role in our technology transformation journey, working on our AWS Cloud infrastructure service migration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Delivering a best-in-class service within a high-performing infrastructure service team
  • Providing maintenance and deployment services across our AWS Cloud Platform and the on-premises VMware virtual environment
  • Leading Major Incident events, ensuring RCA is carried out for Incidents and Problems
  • Leading by example to create a culture of continuous service improvements
  • Working with the Client Infrastructure Technical Lead to help develop our service strategy
  • Responsible for recording, managing, and approving changes in line with ITIL best practice
  • Creating, updating, and where appropriate, signing off documentation and knowledge items
  • Managing the relationship with 3rd party vendors to ensure the successful procurement and installation of services across the HL environment
  • Implementing and maintaining robust security controls within the cloud

About You

We are looking for someone with experience working with AWS Cloud technology, including EC2, Networking Technologies, AWS Migration Tooling, and CloudWatch. You should also have experience with AWS Platform deployment and on-prem to cloud migration projects. Additionally, you should have strong experience of on-premises Windows Server Platforms, products, and associated technologies, including VMWare, Active Directory, WSUS, etc.

A qualification as an AWS Cloud Practitioner would be beneficial, as well as experience in scripting: Powershell, Terraform, and Python. Experience working in Financial Services and holding qualifications such as AWS Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer Expert would be desirable.

Interview Process

The first stage will incorporate competency-based questions, including an assessment of your technical knowledge and transferable skills. For candidates who progress to the second stage, there will be a presentation to prepare and deliver.

Salary and Benefits
