We are a dynamic and progressive farm veterinary practice seeking a skilled and experienced Equine Veterinary Surgeon to join our team.

About the Role

This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity for a motivated and dedicated individual to work with a diverse range of farm animals, including dairy, beef, sheep, and smallholder species.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of three years' experience in practice and will work 8-hour shifts across 5 days a week, with on-call nights and weekends equally shared.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine and emergency surgeries on farm animals
  • Conduct health checks and provide preventative care to farm animals
  • Develop and implement health plans for farm animal clients
  • Collaborate with other veterinarians and support staff to provide comprehensive care to farm animals

About Us

Cliffe Vets is a large mixed practice with dedicated Small Animal, Farm and Equine departments.

We have 8 farm veterinary surgeons, who are ably supported by 3 ATTs, 3 administration staff and a dispensary team.

We offer a stimulating blend of dairy, beef, sheep and smallholder work, as well as sporadic pig, poultry, camelid and gamebird work.

We also offer a range of services, including Flock Health Club, Beef Suckler Package, Beef AI service, DairyCo Mastitis control plan, bull and ram fertility testing, TotalVet dairy software, and Advanced Sheep Breeding services performing laparoscopic AI and Embryo Transfer.
