About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled Laser Operator to join our team at Apex Resource Management. As a Laser Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our laser cutting machines, ensuring high-quality production and meeting tight deadlines.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and maintain laser cutting machines to produce high-quality components
- Interpret and work to CAD/engineering drawings to manufacture components to specification
- Use engineering measuring equipment to ensure accuracy and quality
- Maintain machinery by cleaning and performing routine checks and maintenance
- Work with multiple types of metal, including stainless steel and aluminium
- Remove and clean finished parts ready for production
- Perform daily TMP checks and general maintenance of laser machines
- Complete quality control checks and documentation
- Meet tight deadlines and targets
- Experience of operating laser cutting machines, preferably Amada, Bystronic, or Trumpf
- Machine operating experience and ability to work from own initiative
- Excellent communication skills and ability to prioritize work
- Attention to detail and reliability
- Self-motivated individual with ability to plan and work independently
