Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at NHS Scotland, providing front-line support to individuals living with dementia in our day services.

About the Role: As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in delivering personalized care and support to our service users, promoting their independence, skills, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality support and care to individuals living with dementia, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with service users, their families, and other stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of individualized care plans, ensuring they are tailored to meet the unique needs of each service user.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge in dementia care.
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless delivery of care and support services.

Requirements:

  • Positive approach to dementia care and a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with service users, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing circumstances, prioritizing the needs of service users.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training and professional development opportunities.
  • Registration with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) is essential.
