We are seeking a highly experienced Senior SHEQ Advisor to join our team at Workmans Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the health, safety, and environmental functions of our client, a renowned Social Housing Contractor.
About the Role:This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned professional to take on a challenging role that requires strong leadership and management skills. As a Senior SHEQ Advisor, you will be responsible for developing and implementing health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Lead and manage the health, safety, and environmental functions of the organization.
- Develop and implement health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and standards.
- Monitor and review the effectiveness of health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures.
The responsibilities of this role include:
- Leading, managing, mentoring, and motivating staff under your supervision.
- Developing and implementing health, safety, environmental, quality control, and fire risk management policies.
- Assisting in maintaining third-party certifications and preparing for external assessments.
- Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and statutory authorities.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong background in health, safety, and environment, with experience in a similar role. You will also need to possess excellent communication and leadership skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Full UK driving license.
- Minimum NEBOSH Construction Certificate.
- Certified member of IOSH.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
The salary for this role is £55,000 per annum, plus benefits including a company car and fuel card, 21 days holiday, birthday off, company pension, medical insurance, life insurance, sick pay, regular training, revalidation of certifications, company events, and discounts portal.
