About Us: We are a specialist recruiter for the Skills and Employability sectors, providing expert services to meet the needs of clients in this field.

We are seeking an experienced Barbering Instructor to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is responsible for delivering NCFE Barbering Levels 2 and 3 to groups of learners, tailoring training plans to address individual needs.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing engaging lesson plans that incorporate basic literacy, numeracy, employability, and barriers to employment skills. They will also provide ongoing IAG to learners, helping them identify skills required to progress towards their career aspirations.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver NCFE Barbering Levels 2 and 3 to groups of learners.
  • Prepare engaging lesson plans that incorporate basic literacy, numeracy, employability, and barriers to employment skills.
  • Provide ongoing IAG to learners.

Requirements:
  1. Holds or willing to work towards a teaching qualification such as PTLLS / AET.
  2. Owns NVQ Level 3 in Barbering (standalone).
  3. holds Maths and English Functional Skills level 2 / GCSE equivalents.
  4. Experience of delivering on-the-job training to colleagues/apprentices.
  5. Demonstrates energy and passion to motivate/train clients.
  6. Ability to overcome challenges and support learners to progress.
  7. Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  8. Demonstrate confidence, tenacity, and ability to work on own initiative.
