Receptionist Position Available

We have an opening for a Receptionist to work in our school office in Farnham, GU9 8HB.

The successful candidate will have an estimated salary of £18,100 - £20,000 per annum (dependent on experience) and work Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 3pm (39 weeks per year).

This role requires someone who can multitask, answer the phone, and handle various administrative tasks efficiently while maintaining a calm demeanor and providing excellent customer service.

Job Description

This role involves:

  1. Providing exceptional customer service as the first point of contact for visitors.
  2. Assisting the school's office team with day-to-day clerical and administrative tasks.
  3. Managing the main switchboard and dealing with all enquiries at the entrance window.
  4. Collecting and dispersing mail, managing inventory, maintaining accurate records, and performing general office duties.
  5. Taking notes, providing refreshments for visitors, and supporting parents' evening events.
  6. Maintaining policy review schedules and providing secretarial support as needed.

Requirements

  • Good general education, including Maths and English GCSE.
  • A friendly, helpful, and calm demeanor is required.
  • Excellent IT skills and professional appearance are expected.
  • Good telephone manner and attention to detail are necessary.
  • Demonstrate tact, confidentiality, and discretion at all times.
  • Ability to multitask, organize workload effectively, and set own priorities is required.
