We are seeking a skilled professional to join our team at Brackenberry Ltd as an Advice and Information Officer on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will work closely with a Local Authority in London to provide expert advice and information to customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To receive and resolve adult social care enquiries using a strength-based approach, helping individuals to help themselves through face-to-face, written, or telephone interactions.
  • To provide information and signpost advice to customers about the range of voluntary sector partners and community services, promoting customer independence.
  • To be familiar with community-based support services, including equipment, to help individuals become more independent.
  • To deliver high standards of customer care, offering a professional, friendly, and courteous service to contacts.
  • To complete delegated work tasks thoroughly and timely, using initiative and seeking guidance as required.

Requirements:

  • Experience in working with customer enquiries on a busy public service.
  • Knowledge of adult social care services.
  • Ability to verbally resolve customer enquiries in a straightforward manner.
  • Experience in dealing with challenging customers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and online computer systems.
  • Ability to work to targets and timescales, using initiative.
  • Able to learn and deliver other services incorporated in Customer Services.

Important Notes:

  • The successful candidate must be available to start immediately or at short notice.
  • The candidate must have the right to work in the UK.
  • This role requires a basic DBS check.
