About the Role:

Coxlease and Clay Hill School are seeking a skilled and passionate Culinary Specialist to join their Catering Team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for promoting healthy eating and providing varied meals that meet the required care standards and contribute to the wellbeing of our Children and Young People.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and prepare healthy, varied, and nutritious diets for young people and staff within the home.
  • Ensure the kitchen and associated areas are kept to a high standard of hygiene, including food and equipment storage.
  • Manage menus, dietary requirements, and report relevant information to ensure the care of our young people.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the smooth operation of the catering service.

Requirements:

  • A Level 3 qualification or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Previous experience preparing and cooking meals in a professional kitchen environment.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Organizational and time management skills.
