The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Development Engineer to join our Mechanical Design division, where you will play a key role in introducing new products through discovery, trial, and development phases. As a Development Engineer, you will design and manufacture product prototype parts and assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for assembly.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Design and manufacture product prototype parts, assemblies, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for new product assembly, including 'end of line' testing.
  2. Develop best practice procedures and work instructions for product assembly and testing.
  3. Support engineers within R&D in the development of POP models, product development models, and assemblies, and where required, pre-production batches.
  4. Manage the procurement of materials for prototyping and testing, including raising all PO requests in accordance with engineering requirements.
  5. Ensure the manufacturability of new products, supporting the transition from engineering to production within specified cost, schedule, and process requirements.
Requirements:
  1. Minimum HNC/HND in mechanical engineering or related subject.
  2. In-depth knowledge of CNC programming techniques, CAD/CAM, jig, and tool design.
