We are seeking an experienced Audit Director to join our team in Manchester. As a key member of our audit team, you will be responsible for leading a team of auditors and overseeing an audit portfolio at an established and growing firm.

With a strong background in external audit, you will have experience of audit turnovers to c. £500m and a proven track record of delivering high-quality audit work.

You will work closely with our Partners to provide strategic insight into the audit workflow, resourcing and direction of travel, and will be responsible for reviewing and preparing audit work.

As a natural leader, you will have excellent communication and advisory skills, and will be able to bring out the best in your team members.

You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other departments to ensure clients are benefitting from all business services, and to represent the company at networking and business events.

We offer a competitive salary of £100,000 - £140,000 pa, a generous pension scheme, and a range of other benefits including hybrid working options and flexible working around core hours.

About You

We are looking for someone who has:

  • ACCA/ACA qualified
  • RI status or the possibility to easily obtain it
  • Technically proficient, with extensive UK external audit experience
  • Demonstrable leadership skills with good people management skills
  • Excellent communication and advisory skills
  • Sound attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Self-motivated and highly organised
