Job Title: Psychiatry Inpatient Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatry Inpatient Specialist to join our team at NHS Professionals. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.

Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations of newly admitted patients
• Perform mental status examinations and gather relevant patient history
• Identify and diagnose various mental health disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in consultation with senior psychiatrists
• Prescribe and monitor the effectiveness of psychiatric medications
• Provide psychotherapeutic interventions, including supportive therapy and crisis intervention
• Regularly review and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress
• Conduct follow-up assessments and manage any side effects of medications
• Coordinate with other healthcare providers for integrated care
• Respond to psychiatric emergencies, providing immediate assessment and intervention
• Develop safety plans and manage patients at risk of harm to themselves or others

Requirements:
• Valid GMC
• Right to work in the UK
• Clinical attachment complete
• Minimum 3 months paid UK experience
• AC Status essential
• S12 desirable
