We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Relief Worker to join our team at Riverside. As a Relief Worker, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to our customers, helping them to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high-quality, customer-oriented support and care to customers, understanding their individual needs and preferences.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of personalized support and move-on plans, working closely with the scheme manager and support team.
  • Support customers with day-to-day tasks, such as cleaning and preparing their rooms, and assist with tenancy-related matters.
  • Signpost customers to external support services, such as food banks and community resources, to help them access the help they need.
  • Contribute to the delivery of a housing management service, including income collection and providing customers with tenancy-related support.
  • Work with customers to maintain a safe environment, reporting any repairs or health and safety concerns.
  • Resolve difficult and challenging situations in a sensitive and informed way, balancing the needs of the individual with the safety of the service.
  • Ensure customer safety by following local safeguarding procedures, recognizing and acting on any risks and escalating appropriately.
Requirements
  • An understanding of the barriers faced by vulnerable and diverse customer groups and individuals with complex needs.
  • Experience of working in a team and communicating positively with other people.
  • Experience of being able to organize tasks and plan accordingly while dealing with people.
  • A team player with a caring, empathetic, flexible, and resilient can-do attitude.
  • Able to use initiative and have confidence to make decisions.
  • Basic administrative and IT skills to maintain records.
