We are seeking a highly skilled Investment Insights Analyst to join our team at St. James's Place. As a key member of our Investment Insights & Reporting Team, you will play a critical role in enhancing the analysis and investment decision-making of our Investment Teams through data-driven insights and the application of advanced analytics techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Quantitative Analysis & Predictive Analytics: Lead the implementation of new statistical models, validate results, and build a deep understanding of statistical inferences.
- Team Development & Training: Lead junior members of the team, including training and mentoring, and collaborate with various teams to develop professional relationships.
- Delivering Projects: Deliver critical development and BAU projects, covering investments, operations, regulation, and risk.
- Explorative Database Construction: Develop and lead the team in acquiring new datasets and analytics tools, building business cases, and conducting proof-of-concept and impact assessments.
- Building Visualisations: Ensure stakeholders and customers can absorb and act on reports and analytics produced, including working on visualisation designs.
- Data QC Testing & Error Resolution Workflows: Develop and lead an accumulating library of quality control and error resolution pathways to ensure trusted information contributes to investment decision-making.
- Experience and technical expertise in investment-related data insights, including understanding of investment markets, asset classes, and investment styles.
- Knowledge of public and private asset classes and investment products.
- Experience with investment-related analytics platforms, such as Aladdin, Financial Express, Bloomberg, FactSet, and MSCI RiskMetrics.
- Experience with coding languages, such as SQL, Python, and VBA.
- Understanding of reporting tools, such as Excel and PowerBI.
- Confidence and ability to communicate in a technical manner.
- Investment-related further education or professional qualifications.
