Senior Finance Director, Energy Solutions

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Finance Director to lead the financial operations for our Energy Solutions business across the UK. In this critical leadership role, you will be responsible for driving financial performance, offering strategic financial insights, and ensuring robust financial management to support the business units' growth and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the finance team for the Energy Solutions business in the UK.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, plans, and budgets to support the achievement of business objectives.
  • Provide financial analysis, insights, and recommendations to support decision-making and drive business performance.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • Oversee financial planning and forecasting processes, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive cost optimization initiatives and identify opportunities for revenue growth.
  • Support development, review and challenge of business cases using capital appraisal and financial modelling capabilities.
  • Monitor and manage financial risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team of 7 finance professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
  • Contribute to the success of the wider Commercial Services team.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Senior Finance Director or similar role.
  • Strong financial acumen and understanding of financial principles, practices, and regulations.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
  • Proficiency in financial management software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Energy, drive, determination and enthusiasm and an ability to work to tight deadlines.
