We are seeking an independent-minded scientist to conduct world-leading research into the drivers of air-sea exchanges of heat and momentum and their uncertainty.
The successful candidate will contribute to the strategic research programme of the NOC Marine Physics and Ocean Climate Research Group and will contribute to the delivery of science for projects, including ORCHESTRA and CLASS at NOC within the UK NERC.
This is an opportunity to develop a career in marine climate science and to develop your own research within an area of science that contributes to our objectives.
You will have a PhD or equivalent experience, ideally in atmospheric or oceanographic sciences and be skilled in using and developing data analysis software.
You will be able to demonstrate the mathematical ability to handle theoretical aspects of air-sea interaction research.
The National Oceanography Centre (NOC) is a national research organisation, delivering integrated marine science and technology from the coast to the deep ocean and is one of the top five institutions of its kind in the world.
