Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Specialist to join our team at Sonoco. As an IT Support Specialist, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our computer hardware and software systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, configure, and maintain computer hardware and software systems, including PCs, laptops, tablets, printers, and data collection devices.
  • Provide Office365 end user support and troubleshoot technical issues related to email, calendar, and other Microsoft applications.
  • Assist with acquisition and divestiture activities, including IT support for new and existing systems.
  • Support ITIO site assessments and ERP deployments, ensuring regional ITIO initiatives comply with corporate standards.
  • Collaborate with corporate ITIO product teams to facilitate engagement and ensure alignment with corporate standards.
  • Provide onsite support for PC refresh, LAN/WAN upgrades, and wireless network upgrades, as needed.
  • Install and maintain computer software, including Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite, antivirus, and malware protection.
  • Perform routine IT system administration, including health checks and incident resolution.
  • Contribute to continual service improvement by assisting with Standard Operations Procedures creation, maintenance, and compliance.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in computer science or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in IT support or related field.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office365 and Windows operating systems.
