We are seeking casual invigilators to expand our exams team. These positions are on a flexible, as-required basis throughout the academic year.
Candidates will need to be reliable, punctual, and able to remain calm under pressure. They should have good numeracy and literacy skills and a flexible, firm but fair approach to their work. Experience of working with young people is advantageous.
Duties:
- Assist in laying out exam papers on desks or distribute them in a way that each pupil can commence the examination at the exact time stated.
- Undertake a registration of pupils to ensure those present correspond to the examination entries.
- Collect examination papers and associated paperwork from candidates at the end of the exam.
- Ensure examination papers are passed onto the named examination officer.
Knowledge, skills and experience:
- An ability to remain quiet during the whole examination process.
- An ability to deal with disruptions with minimal disruption to others.
- An understanding of the examination process (full training will be given).
