Our client, a well-established knitwear firm in the UK, is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Knitwear Designer to join their team on a full-time basis. This exciting opportunity offers a competitive salary of £35,000 per annum, along with a comprehensive benefits package.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create innovative and fashionable knitwear designs based on seasonal trends, market demands, and client briefs.
  • Analyse fashion trends, yarns, textures, colours, and patterns to inspire new collections and drive business growth.
  • Develop mood boards, sketches, and technical drawings that effectively communicate design concepts and meet industry standards.
  • Source high-quality yarns, trims, and embellishments for each design, ensuring excellence in product development.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure garment construction, fit, and finishes meet brand expectations and industry standards.

Person Specifications:

  • A highly creative thinker with excellent attention to detail and a strong understanding of knitwear techniques and yarn properties.
  • Proven experience in knitwear design, with a portfolio of successful designs and collaborations.
  • Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and other CAD programs, with the ability to learn new technologies quickly.
  • A strong knowledge of the fashion market, current knitwear trends, and consumer behaviour.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining a high level of quality and productivity.
