Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at HRC Recruitment. As a Mechanical Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant by designing, promoting, and carrying out preventative maintenance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the design, promotion, and execution of preventative maintenance to ensure all machines and work procedures are safe and fit for purpose.
  • Ensure that electrical and mechanical Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and controls are in place as required.
  • Review and advise on engineering requirements and drawings to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Actively promote safe working practices throughout the plant and work with contractors to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Undertake repairs and servicing to the highest standard in accordance with work requests and pre-determined specifications.
  • Fault find, test, adjust, and remove existing fittings, fixtures, and parts to determine the most cost-effective solution to remedy defects.
  • Communicate effectively with management and relevant parties to ensure that all processes are conducted within safe working guidelines.
  • Ensure that all processes are conducted within safe working guidelines as determined by the engineering manager and health & safety officer.
Requirements
  • Experience in fabrication/welding (Mig/MMA)
  • Time-served mechanical or equivalent
