Management Accountant

As a Management Accountant at Safran Seats, you will play a crucial role in providing financial and business partnering support for the Engineering business area. Your expertise will be instrumental in driving financial performance, ensuring compliance with IFRS15 Revenue from Contracts principles, and providing insightful analysis to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide month-end accounting and reporting for the Engineering business area, including posting month-end journals and analyzing variances.
2. Ensure overall IFRS15 reporting compliance for the business.
3. Coordinate and calculate the annual RDEC self-assessment claim and Patent Box tax claim.
4. Lead the financial submission of all Engineering/Technology grant applications.
5. Approve purchase requisitions and facilitate robust inputs from business areas for forecasts, budgets, and the MTP (Mid Term Plan).
6. Collaborate with the Finance Manager – Programmes & Engineering, Management Accountant – Programmes and Purchasing, and Programme Managers and Directors to provide financial support for EAC reviews and identify corrective actions.
7. Analyze and forecast cost-saving initiatives for the Engineering business area, including validation of claimed savings.
8. Review and analyze RTDI (Research and Technology Development Initiative) on a monthly basis.
9. Promote financial understanding and awareness in business areas through informative and value-added KPI reporting.
10. Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and maintained, acting as the conscience of the business to ensure adherence to best practices.

Job Requirements
Qualified Accountant
Good understanding of discounted cash flow modeling and financial assessment of different business options.
Proficient in MS Office packages, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Month-end accounting, reporting, and forecasting support in a cross-functional environment within Industry.
Working within a fast-paced Group Company environment.
Building relationships with and managing internal customers and stakeholders.
Strong attention to detail, as reports will be presented to senior Executives.
Analytical mindset.
Demonstrated ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Team player.
Specificity of the Job
Possible occasional day travel to Brackley, Northants site and/or Paris with overnight stay.
