About the Role

We're seeking a seasoned Principal Medical Writer to join our team and oversee the development of robust scientific content and the onsite delivery of an innovative and award-winning standalone event.
This pivotal role will lead on the development and delivery of the scientific programme, while overseeing a 5-person high-performing scientific services team.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and Create Medical Education/Communication Programmes: Develop and implement comprehensive medical education and communication programmes for implementation under your guidance.
- Direct Delivery of High-Quality Scientific Content: Direct the delivery of high-quality scientific content and provide internal leadership of editorial teams across several accounts.
- Lead Scientific Discussions: Lead scientific discussions with clients and external experts, face-to-face and on calls.
- Develop Scientific Strategy: Develop scientific strategy to inform tactical planning of accounts, both internally and with clients.
- Drive Organic Growth Opportunities: Identify and drive organic growth opportunities on accounts.
- Act as Scientific Lead for Proposals and Pitches: Act as scientific lead for proposals and pitches.
- Line Management, Mentoring, Coaching, and Training: Provide line management, mentoring, coaching, and training to team members.
About You
We're looking for an experienced Senior Medical Writer with a track record of scientific and editorial leadership for large and complex accounts.
You'll need strong leadership and communication skills, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to adapt your approach according to the needs of clients and teams.
A strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations is essential, as is the ability to deliver events and experience with digital projects.
