Job Description:

As a Digital Infrastructure Engineer at BAM Nuttall, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and managing the use of digital tools to enhance project delivery. This role involves service delivery of project information management and tactical deployment of project-based technology.


Your Key Responsibilities:


  1. Provide functional support and training for digital tools and applications.
  2. Capture and communicate best practices and lessons learned within the organisation.
  3. Contribute to audits, including ISO 19650 audits, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards.
  4. Contribute to the operational design of BAM compliant digital workflows on tenders and projects, in line with BAM governance, working with wider DPS.
  5. Manage the project information model for sharing with the project team and authorising with the client team aligned with project/contract exchange and security protocols.
  6. Ensure the project/contracts standard methods and procedures align with BAMs ISO 19650 protocols.
  7. Ensure model coordination and mobilisation plan are in place and carry out regular reviews.
  8. Ensure that all parties are using the CDE in the agreed manner, as described in the BAM information protocol, client requirements, and that it is aligned with ISO 19650 (where required).
  9. Ensure that the building information model meets the required data quality (graphical and non graphical) and the correct level of information need is delivered. Carry out reporting as required.
  10. Manage the creation of the project information model and review the quality of data produced from the task teams and report non-conformances.
  11. Lead the implementation of digital processes on projects/contracts in all stages of the asset lifecycle as required.
  12. Establish compliant work flows in accordance with Client requirements, BAMs information protocol, and ISO 19650 (where required), ensuring that they are planned, documented, and well communicated.
  13. Contribute to the development of the Master Information Delivery Plan (MIDP) and Task Information Delivery Plan (TIDP).
  14. Collaborate with IT and wider DPS to ensure that digital systems and working methods that are fit for purpose and efficient for the relevant stage of the project/asset lifecycle.
  15. Understand the technical challenges the users are facing with respect to application or tool usage, and quickly resolve the issues to avoid effect on productivity and performance.
  16. Contribute to and maintain the BIM execution plan (pre and post contract BEP), and relevant other documents associated with BAMs information protocol.
  17. Support the management of the risk register during the project/contract life cycle.

  • Several years' experience in digital construction / digital facilities management, familiar with industry and tendering processes.
  • Higher education in construction or related fields, or equivalent experience.
