Join Freudenberg's Procurement Team
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Assistant to join our team at Freudenberg. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for raising raw material purchase orders, negotiating prices and delivery with suppliers, and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Raise purchase orders and manage ERP transactions to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials.
- Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best possible prices and delivery terms.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure material availability and support production requirements.
- Participate in business reviews with suppliers and customers to ensure that both parties' requirements are met.
- Support the sourcing process and manage ERP transactions to maximize internal efficiency and minimize costs.
- Use the ERP system to optimize transactions and adopt best practices to improve efficiency.
- Address day-to-day challenges and work additional hours as required to support the business.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing procurement role.
- Good IT skills, including knowledge of Excel and ERP systems.
- Effective teamwork and communication skills in a manufacturing organization.
- Able to make effective decisions and work under tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly processes, with experience in engineering an advantage.
- Good problem-solving and people skills.
- Customer-focused and proactive approach.
- Results-driven and able to set and manage own targets.
- Able to build and maintain collaborative relationships.
