We are seeking a highly skilled Process Safety Engineer to join our team at Croda. As a Process Safety Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our manufacturing sites.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity for a Process Safety Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and implementation of process safety strategies. You will work closely with our multi-disciplinary teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards, and ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide technical process safety expertise to support the promotion of, and engagement in, process and workplace safety, health, and environment (SHE).
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to apply process safety knowledge and leadership skills to maintain safe and reliable operations.
- Develop and implement process safety strategies to facilitate the delivery of site objectives.
- Work with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Ensure compliance with relevant engineering codes and standards.
- Chemical or Process Engineering degree.
- Minimum 5 years of Process Engineer/Process Safety experience.
- Strong understanding of Process Safety and experience of undertaking and participating in safety studies (PSSR, Pressure Relief, Risk Assessments, Hazard Studies, LoPA, ALARP Demonstration, PUWER, DSEAR, etc.).
- Able to provide monthly and quarterly updates on Process Safety KPIs.
- Experience of Management of Change systems and procedures.
- High degree of analytical and numeracy skills.
- Proficient in report writing, producing documentation, and the development of procedures and training.
- Experience of supporting production/manufacturing operations.
- Experience of working within multi-discipline teams.
- Able to troubleshoot, problem solve, analyze data, and suggest improvements.
- Able to specify process equipment and produce datasheets.
- Able to undertake project scoping, PFD/P&ID development, and design documentation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work and communicate with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels.
