University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team in a Respiratory Care Specialist role. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based clinical care to patients with respiratory conditions.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered care to patients with respiratory conditions, including those requiring interventions such as Bi-Pap and Optiflow.
- Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team, including physiotherapists, to provide holistic patient care.
- Act as a role model, communicating effectively with patients, carers, and staff, in line with Trust values.
- Take responsibility for delegated patients and their care needs, working alongside colleagues and offering support when required.
- Continuously maintain and develop your own practice, staying up-to-date with the latest respiratory care guidelines and best practices.
Person Specification
- NMC registration
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Previous experience in a ward setting, preferably in respiratory care
- Evidence of having championed diversity and equalities in previous roles
