Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Funding Projects Officer to join our team at CRA GROUP LIMITED. The successful candidate will support the External Funding Team and other staff in the Programme Management Service with the design, development, commissioning, and delivery of externally funded projects and programmes that support economic growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an initial point of contact for the External Funding Team and Crowdfund Walsall Programme in responding to requests for information via a range of communication methods.
  • Research and investigate possible sources of external funding, gather relevant information, and present opportunities to Council staff and committees.
  • Support the development of partnerships between various sectors to access funding for multiagency initiatives.
  • Provide expert advice to Council staff to ensure that funding proposals are designed and approved in accordance with the Council's grants manual procedures and funder rules and requirements.
  • Liaise with project leads, partners, and elected members to deliver promotional opportunities to raise awareness of external funded projects.
  • Play a key role in the delivery of the Crowdfund Walsall Programme, running the match funding process, organising and presenting at panel meetings, advising projects, conducting project visits, and supporting programme monitoring and reporting.

Requirements:

  • Be experienced and have good working knowledge of the VCSE sector.
  • Be a successful fundraiser/bid writer.
  • Have outstanding project delivery and communication skills, including writing and presenting information for diverse audiences.
  • Be able to deliver in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines with the support of a friendly team.
  • Good digital skills, including social media.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Be educated to degree level or possessing equivalent experience within the appropriate fields.
  • Have a relevant funding or project qualification, e.g. IOF, AMP, PRINCE 2, or equivalent experience.
